Brian R. Davis is a doctoral candidate in Social/Personality Psychology at The Graduate Center, City University of New York, and a Fulbright Dissertation Fellow to Japan (2016-17). His mixed-method research focuses on identity in cultural context, adolescent sexuality, as well as gender and sexuality theory; his dissertation research focuses on cultural discourses of and attitudes concerning sexual identity in the United States and Japan. A board member of the LGBT Social Science & Public Policy Center at Roosevelt House, he also serves as liaison to Japan for the International Psychology Network for LGBTI Issues (IPsyNet). In his capacity as ECOSOC representative to the United Nations for the Center for Community and Urban Health (Hunter College) since 2012, Brian has also advocated for international policy inclusive of sexual orientation and gender identity.
